91̽»¨

91̽»¨ began in the early 1960’s as the B.C. Vocational School in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. In 1968 its name was changed to 91̽»¨ with the introduction of a full complement of academic and vocational programs. In 1989 91̽»¨ began to offer third and fourth year university courses in co-operation with the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the University of Victoria (UVic). In 1992 91̽»¨ was renamed Okanagan University College (OUC) offering joint degrees with UBC and UVic. In 1995 OUC was granted its own baccalaureate degrees and conferred its first degrees in 1998. On July 1, 2005, OUC evolved to become two new institutions, one of which is 91̽»¨.

91̽»¨ is the caretaker of OUC academic records. Students who were attending OUC and continued their studies at 91̽»¨ require transcripts from both institutions in order to provide a complete academic record.

Standardized Grading System

91̽»¨'s standardized grading system uses final percent grades to determine semester and cumulative grade averages. The system applies to all courses, irrespective of program.

Grades for all courses, regardless of credit value, are based on a percentage system. The minimum and maximum grades for all courses will be 0 percent and 100 percent, respectively. Transcripts include a percentage grade for each course, along with the number of credits awarded for the course. The following categories will be used.
