Commercial Aviation Diploma - Aeroplane
The Commercial Aviation Diploma at 91̽»¨ is a 60-credit program that equips students for rewarding careers in the aviation industry by integrating business education with professional flight training. Through 30 academic credits at 91̽»¨, students build a strong foundation in management, accounting, and communications. The remaining 30 credits are completed through flight training with any Transport Canada–approved provider, offering flexibility to choose a flight school that best fits individual goals. This combination of academic learning and practical experience prepares graduates with both the technical expertise to fly and the business insight to thrive in aviation operations and management.
Commercial Helicopters Pilot Certificate
The Commercial Helicopter Pilot Certificate at 91̽»¨ is a 30-credit program that prepares students for exciting careers in the helicopter industry by combining academic study with professional flight training. Students complete 15 academic credits at 91̽»¨, gaining essential skills in business and communication that enhance their technical training. The remaining 15 credits are earned through flight instruction with any Transport Canada–approved helicopter training provider, offering flexibility to choose a school that aligns with individual goals. This integrated approach equips graduates with both the flight proficiency and business understanding needed to succeed as commercial helicopter pilots.
Partnerships
The Commercial Aviation Diploma is offered in partnership with Southern Interior Flight Centre (SIFC). This two-year program integrates the flight training required by Transport Canada with business administration courses applicable to the aviation industry. - : Southern Interior Flight Centre provides safe, effective, 'real world' aviation training, while setting high standards to ensure the integrity of the school and its graduates is maintained throughout the aviation industry. Jazz, Westjet, Encore, Porter, and the Carson Air Ltd. have formal agreements and participation in program delivery, while many other companies have informal participation and still seek out our well-trained graduates.
- : Okanagan Mountain Helicopters started as a helicopter flight training school in 2003. Our helicopter flight training school offers the most comprehensive helicopter pilot training in the industry today. We have tailored our course to meet the needs and demands of commercial helicopter companies in Canada, with a focus on developing the best possible flying skills and airmanship, and an introduction to the various types of operational flying that a pilot might expect as they begin their career.
