Applicants educated outside of B.C. are required to present qualifications equivalent to those required for B.C. students. Applicants must present competitive grades in program specific prerequisite subjects, which vary by program. See the calendar for your program requirements.

Testing to meet admission requirements

Alternative admission testing

Satisfactory standing in basic math and reading tests can be used to meet the entrance to some Continuing Studies programs. Please see individual program listing for admission requirements to your program.

Applicants wishing to enter some Adult Upgrading (AU) courses may be required to complete a skills assessment test if they do not meet specific course prerequisites or to determine the level which would best suit their needs. Assessment dates and times are available at the Registrar's Office, campus offices, or online. Also see AU programs in the calendar for more information.

Testing times and dates are available at the Kelowna Testing Centre or Regional Campus counselling offices. Find out more about some of the diagnostic exams on the Kelowna Testing Centre's website.
